Cleveland Rocks, Chicago Blows

Sorry for the non-update yesterday. Internet is hard to find around these parts. After a long drive through torrential rain and road construction, we made it to Cleveland. This place totally rocks! Everywhere we went, people were rocking out of control.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is on the north side of the city, right on the shore of Lake Erie. They have a wind turbine, skate park, and lots of open areas for rocking. For some reason, Allison looked really small there. When we were done shredding our brains out, we hopped back in the car and drove out of the city to find a cheap motel in Fremont.

The next day, after taking our morning constitutional, we drove straight to Chicago. The Windy City! The White Sox had just beat the KC Royals as we drove into the city from the south, and there were cheap looking fireworks going off. Thanks for all the food suggestions, dudes! We hit up Hot Doug's, and stuffed ourselves silly. Sorry, but we were way too hungry to remember to take pictures of these gourmet pups. We had a Rib-eye Steak dog with blue cheese and crispy fried onions, a garlic dog smoked with mustard, and the original with pickles, relish, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mustard, and celery salt.

The rain had started up again, and traffic was brutal, so we went to Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower before being bought out). They had numerous photo opportunities and a glass walled box which stuck right out from the top floor of the tower. Pretty frightening (especially for baby-asses like Allison). A true contest between your instincts and your rational mind.

Tomorrow: Milwaukee's Best!
